The members bring a wealth of experience from previous bands that include: Tyrant, Septimus and Powerslave. The band started out as a cover project, but has been writing original music […]

‘Open Up Your Head’ by Sea Girls [Album Review]

Sea Girls is one of those bands that I found one song from and it was such a bop and I went back to it so much that I thought I would go and see what other music they had. At the time the only other stuff they had were EPs. I listened to the […]

‘Kuiper Belt’ by 8SNAKE [New Release]

Album Background from the Band The Kuiper Belt album idea came out during the writing process for another future album. Considering that we are in lockdown, we couldn’t meet each other to jam and put together new ideas. So we thought we would go back through some of our old recorded jam sessions instead and […]

‘The Bastards’ by Palaye Royale [Album Review]

This is one of those albums that I went into expecting to like it, especially after hearing the singles leading up to it, but for whatever reason didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. I’m genuinely floored by how much I enjoyed this album–it went beyond what I could have imagined from […]

‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ by The 1975 [Album Review]

It’s here! It finally happened! Um, anyway, let’s talk about this fourth studio album from The 1975. ‘Gigaton’ by Pearl Jam [Album Review]

I feel like I need to preface this with the statement that I love Pearl Jam. Like, Lightning Bolt is one of my favourite albums of all time and Ten was one of the first albums I ever bought. So I was pretty excited to have some new music from them… I just… it’s not… […]

‘Order in Decline’ by Sum 41 [Album Review]

Alright, so I know of Sum 41, I think we’ve all heard In Too Deep in a teen-movie soundtrack at some point in our lives, but I’ve never sat down and listen to a whole album by them until this one. It was an album I had heard a few things about near the end […]

‘Afterthoughts’ by Greywind [Album Review]

This is one of those bands I heard about by chance and, after listening through this album, find myself wondering why they aren’t more popular then they are. There’s no lack of talent here, and while there is something to be said for incorporating more complexity and/or originality, it’s a notable beginning for a band […]

‘Barriers’ by Frank Iero and the Future Violence [Album Review]

This is an album I started listening to and wasn’t able to get into it mostly because the beginning isn’t as good as the rest of it. It makes it a little tricky to get into the album unless you’re already a fan of Ireo’s music. It actually took listening to past albums to convince […]

‘You Deserve Love’ by White Reaper [Album Review]

So my experience with White Reaper is pretty limited to this album. I can’t say I haven’t heard any of their other songs before I listened through this album because I’m pretty sure I had heard of them before but this was the real first listen and–damn. Like, usually it takes me a little bit to fall for a band–I like to get to know them before I think about love, that’s just the girl I am–but this was a rom-com style meet-cute right here.
