Toronto’s Alternative rock band, The Midnight Echo share their new lyric video for single “Paris In 39”. “Paris In 39” comes off of The Midnight Echo’s “Dichotomy” EP that was released earlier this year.

On the lyric video, Tyler Rayman speaks on the highs and lows of relationships and how different themes reoccur throughout the video weaving together the overall themes of the track as well as the EP, “The lyric video emphasizes the theme of dichotomy, something that permeates throughout the song and our EP as a whole. The video contains both scenes of beauty and destruction, representing the highs and lows that come with any relationship.”

The track Paris in 39 explores the dynamics of human relationships and the balance that’s struck between putting too little or too much into one. Everyone has experienced, in one way or another, what happens when there becomes an imbalance, and the song is really just commenting on the importance and difficulty in mutually finding that point.

“In different words, the video and song are connected by very stark contrasts of positivity and turmoil, representing our underlying theme of dichotomy, and both its prevalence in our lives and the importance it has in shaping us as individuals. The visuals presented by the lyric video reinforce these same themes and are able to provide a more direct portrayal than just the lyrics alone would be able to,” says Rayman.
The EP’s title reflects life in general and the importance of experiencing both sides of the spectrum, as the highs associated with the good would not feel the same without the lows associated with the bad.

Dichotomy also fits well with the idea that all of the songs have different vibes to them.

More On The Midnight Echo:

The Midnight Echo is an alternative rock act based out of Toronto, Ontario. The band formed in 2016, releasing their debut album “Voyager” in early 2017. The band fuses the hook-laden anthems of the early 2000’s with the synth-driven tones of 80’s New Wave to create their own unique and atmospheric sound. You might hear the influence of 30 Seconds To Mars, Angels and Airwaves, The 1975, Blink 182 and maybe even some early Fall Out Boy, but the sound of The Midnight Echo is their own. Rife with passion, the music is also rich with intensity, angst, and emotion.
